I got this a couple of days ago entering as a complete n00b to the series and it seems like a fair bit of fun. Some of the things in the main World Tour seem a little frustrating at times, but I'm suprised with just how well the game plays in regards to level designs and the controls.

Anyone else played this?

I might get it for the PS3, but I'm not sure yet.

Played the PS3 demo, it was alright, just not near as fun a SSX3. It felt kind of stale imo.

Can understand why it might not appeal to some; personally I like the game though.

Also, I made a better gameplay video.

Can you not fall in the game? It seems like you didn't even have to direct the landings or the board. Or are you just that good? lol

Left thumbstick helps you realign yourself, but for the most point the game looks after you. It seems more about going fast and throwing loads of tricks around.

It looks like it got pretty mixed reviews, but I used to really enjoy this genre. Snowboarding, skateboarding, and ATV'ing games were some of my favourites.

How much content is there? Long enough campaign with lots of unlocks (board, chars, etc)?

Haven't finished the campaign yet but I've heard it's pretty short, so yeah. There seems to be a host of unlockables though, which is nice - things like boards, outfits, characters, tools/equipment etc..

I loved SSX3. This looks a hell of a lot more fast-paced than the other ones, and I believe it was actually pretty easy to biff it in the older ones, too? I'm not too sold on it, but I'd still probably buy it just for old times sake.

This game, while carrying on the art style and spirit of SSX1-3, is an easy, shallow, piece of QWERTY.

At least I only paid 15 bucks.
