yeah thanks, I was just unsure on how to get the text fields to automatically go into the users sidepanel. Similar to this website actually, with the Xbox live/PSN ID/Steam account info.... same basic idea.

Thanks again.

Sorry for the double post, I also had a couple other things to ask and it wouldn't let me edit.

My next question is... is there a main stylesheet I can find. I am trying to create a similar template for my actual website and base it off this forum. I've been working on it for 2-3 days now and trying to 'piece' everything together has been a huge pain in the butt. Sizes wont match up and its a lot of tampering... I was wondering if the bg/header/banner etc. All was in one solid stylesheet that I could just link my HTML page to. Because I would like the size/positions to stay the same when switching between forum and home page.

Thanks again.

edit: I tried to add the buttons, upon a lot of issues I removed the forum (complete phpbb3, not just the skin) and re-installed from scratch. When I re-installed and uploaded this skin again I had a messed up navigation bar. I added the link below to show the problem. I just wanted 2 buttons added and it somehow messed up everything. Even deleting the forum and re-installing couldn't fix it. I've checked through the stylesheet file and over_header.html and its all your default code, no mention and no graphic of the 'review' button I tried to add.

I've been struggling for almost a week on this, i've somehow messed myself up huge lol. I appreciate your help.

2nd edit:

I have fixed my problem for the buttons, they now re-appear. Still would like the details on how to possibly do the steam ID, PSN ID, Xbox Live, thanks :)

is this some joke you're pulling? letting index.php redirect to this topic?

also, do note that, if i find out that link drags in a virus, note that I will hunt you down :) and you can say farewell to your nice pc :)

Well, I felt that whatever the cause is must be a mod gone wrong when the board was updated. So I am installing a fresh version of PHPBB3 and the updated COD style skin- then do my changes.

I am not sure what happened O.o on your end/error message- I better not be one because I teach web design at both DeVry and Art Institute XD being a hacker would create a bad image for me if I taught students how to create viruses :eh:

Urgh. IE.

Okay, so I tried a test board with a brand new installation of PHPBB3 and I installed the new COD faction skin.

http://mortalwrestling.com/testboard/

First test- I checked the default skin-- the column rendered correctly. But then, when I switched over to the COD Faction the board went haywire in IE... it just didn't render.

So I went back and uploaded an old version of .COD faction which is actually what I have been using on the actual board and the site rendered great in Firefox but not in IE (just like before). Without combing through the CSS completely- I think there might be a compatibility issue with .COD Faction and the newest version of PHPBB3.

The only way to know completely if it is is I had an older version of PHPBB3 and tested it but I am tired ._.; Even if this never get fixed... it's interesting to note and to death with IE.

**EDIT**
Out of curiosity, I viewed this board with suck ass IE and it didn't even render just like my site. I did a lil research and found out that PHPBB3.0 doesn't update subsilver2 with the new versions. Maybe this is what's wrong?

I wouldn't care about IE but some people for some reason still use it and I have to have as much exposure as possible. H8 to IE lol

Hi,
at first of all I would like to thank you for great styles and lot of work for us for free.

We use this style on our board/page www.bazzina.cz mainly focused on fps online freegame Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.

We edited some parts to "swamp style" becouse we called us bazina and it means in czech language swamp..

Anyway as I said we focus on gaming and so why we need to have server monitors on first page - as we have it now (look on www.bazzina.cz) but this is what i would like to ask if it is somehow possible to connect server monitors position with frame of board itself and all screen resolutions will have it like this. Becouse now if someone has larger resolution (like 1920*1080 and more) they have server monitors too away from board but worse case is if some one has small resolution (like 1280*1024 and smaller) the server monitors cover the board. Minimum optimal reslution is 1366*768 which is popular due to netbooks etc. so it is quite ok but anyway if there is chance to set it up somehow better i would be very grateful.

Now we have edited overal_footer.html like this:
<div style="position: absolute; top: 70px; left: 5px;">
<a href="http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/213.168.184.157:27969/" target="_blank"><img src="http://cache.www.gametracker.com/server_info/213.168.184.157:27969/b_160_400_2_ffffff_c5c5c5_ff9900_000000_1_1_0.png" border="0" width="160" height="364" alt="" /></a>
<br />

similar is for servermonitors on the right.

Any idea?

Thank you in advance

with all due respect but, that background image rapes the whole design x)

now, if i understood right, you want to attach the server monitors to the wrapper of the forum?

aside from me not knowing an immediate solution, don't you think it will be a bit busy in the center of the screen? I'd recommend to leave it like this, or (even better) make a separate page with the server monitors, i doubt that many visitors even check them out x) )

Hi,

I've downloaded your great looking style a few days ago and started working on customizing my forum to fit my needs.

I now that this is my first post on your Forum and I hope I'm not bothering you with this question.
I've found few posts with similar problem, but all of it ended up by the people solving the problem themselves. So I couldn't really find a solution.

I've followed Daniel's guide for adding a new button. I ended up with the button showing up as a link. Rest of it works well, but it doesn't show the button.

Image

My edited Overall_Header Code looks like this:

Code:
<div id="wrapper">
   <div id="navigation">
      <ul id="nav">
        <li><a href="http://www.in-ultima-ratio.de/portal.php" class="navhover nav_home"><span>{L_INDEX}</span></a></li>
        <li><a href="http://www.in-ultima-ratio.de/index.php" class="navhover nav_Forum"><span>Forum</span></a></li>
      <!-- IF S_USER_LOGGED_IN and S_DISPLAY_MEMBERLIST --><li><a href="{U_MEMBERLIST}" class="navhover nav_members"><span>{L_MEMBERLIST}</span></a></li><!-- ENDIF -->
      <!-- IF not S_IS_BOT --><!-- IF S_DISPLAY_SEARCH --><li><a href="{U_SEARCH}" class="navhover nav_search"><span>{L_SEARCH}</span></a></li><!-- ENDIF --><!-- ENDIF -->
      <!-- IF not S_USER_LOGGED_IN and S_REGISTER_ENABLED and not (S_SHOW_COPPA or S_REGISTRATION) --><li><a href="{U_REGISTER}" class="navhover nav_register"><span>{L_REGISTER}</span></a></li><!-- ENDIF -->
      </ul>
   </div>
<!-- ENDIF -->

and my stylesheet.css looks like this:

Code:
.nav_register {
   background: url("{T_IMAGESET_LANG_PATH}/nav_register.png") 0 0 no-repeat;
}

.nav_forum{
    background: url("{T_IMAGESET_LANG_PATH}/nav_forum.png") 0 0 no-repeat;
}

.nav_home span, .nav_ucp span, .nav_members span, .nav_search span, .nav_register span, .nav_forum span{
   display: none; text-indent: -5000px;
}

Hope you can help me.

Did you change the stylesheet, From the ACP? idk why but you need to use the ACP->Styles->Themes in order for it to load correctly. Don't ask why that's what I had to figure out the hard way.

Question:
I have been looking around, with no luck. How do you change the width of the forums?
