gimp results in lighter colours, that's often a way to tell if a signature was created using photoshop or gimp :)

I had no idea. I wonder if there's export settings that prevent that.

CoDFaction is a perfect style but I have a small PROBLEM, maybe you can help me...

I want to make links opening in new windows, for example when you click on this link http://www.gamexe.net i want to open in a new window.
I searched over internet but I didn`t find a tutorial for this style, someone please explain us in a small tutorial for begginers.

Thank you! If anyone can help me I would appreciate it so much!

That was not the case here. All effects I saw in photoshop were not appearing in gimp, also, text layer, that should be editable has been rasterized, so I couldn't change the text :)

Very odd! Perhaps Gimp's PSD conversion isn't as extensive as I had first thought. I'll take note. Glad the photoshop trial worked out for you though. Best of luck.

I checked the sorce code and this is what shows up.

Code:
<table cellspacing="3" cellpadding="0" border="0" class="row1">
         <tbody><tr>
            <td width="20" style="text-align: center;"></td>
                                **********this is whare the image code should show up.***********
            <td class="gensmall">New posts</td>
            <td>&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>
            <td width="20" style="text-align: center;"><img width="20" height="20" title="No unread posts" alt="No unread posts" src="./styles/CoDFaction/imageset/topic_read.png"></td>
            <td class="gensmall">No new posts</td>
            <td>&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>
            <td width="20" style="text-align: center;"><img width="20" height="20" title="Announce" alt="Announce" src="./styles/CoDFaction/imageset/announce_read.png"></td>
            <td class="gensmall">Announcement</td>
         </tr>
         <tr>
            <td style="text-align: center;"></td>
                                **********this is whare the image code should show up.***********
            <td class="gensmall">New posts [ Locked ]</td>
            <td>&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>
            <td style="text-align: center;"><img width="20" height="20" title="No unread posts [ Locked ]" alt="No unread posts [ Locked ]" src="./styles/CoDFaction/imageset/topic_read_locked.png"></td>
            <td class="gensmall">No new posts [ Locked ]</td>
            <td>&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>
            <td style="text-align: center;"><img width="20" height="20" title="Sticky" alt="Sticky" src="./styles/CoDFaction/imageset/sticky_read.png"></td>
            <td class="gensmall">Sticky</td>
         </tr>
         </tbody></table>

If I knew what file that box used I could check it and maybe fix it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

first, did you alter any code?

next;

open CoDFaction/template/index_body.html

in this file the the table is defined (at the bottom of the document):
Code:
<table class="legend row1">
<tr>
   <td width="20" align="center">{FORUM_UNREAD_IMG}</td>
   <td><span class="gensmall">{L_UNREAD_POSTS}</span></td>
   <td>&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>
   <td width="20" align="center">{FORUM_IMG}</td>
   <td><span class="gensmall">{L_NO_UNREAD_POSTS}</span></td>
   <td>&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>
   <td width="20" align="center">{FORUM_LOCKED_IMG}</td>
   <td><span class="gensmall">{L_FORUM_LOCKED}</span></td>
</tr>
</table>

however, before you look into any code; check if the images have been uploaded to your server!

if I am right, these are the lines calling for the images:
Code:
   <td><span class="gensmall">{L_NO_UNREAD_POSTS}</span></td>
   <td>&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>
   <td width="20" align="center">{FORUM_LOCKED_IMG}</td>
   <td><span class="gensmall">{L_FORUM_LOCKED}</span></td>

I hope this helps you out a bit!
Good Luck!

I think the copyright should remain unaltered, however, as you wish to place it in a visible place, i don't think dan will make a problem out of it (as long as it remains visible).

why would you want it to appear there anyway? Normally you don't want it to be that visible?
well, the footer can be found in
CoDFaction/template/overall_footer.php

the header file is called
CoDFaction/template/overall_header.php
shortly after line 160 the header part starts :)
it's not totally clear to me where you want to place it exactly, but i think with some trial and error you'll manage to get it right !

However, make sure you e-mail daniel st. jules before you alter the footer! (I did not make this template so i can not grant you the right to :) )
Good Luck!

I have a couple bumps I've run into while using this template on my forum. Everything thus far has been amazing, so thank you.

Although I tried to put more buttons up on the navigation bar, I followed you min-tutorial at the start and I uploaded it all and everything and still got nothing out of it... I am not to sure why, I just want to add 3-4 buttons to the bar, I re-made the images, as well as edited the proper files. Saved all the titles properly, and I am not sure what I am missing...

My 2nd bump is, I am unsure how to create the text fields (much like you have here) for Gamertags/PSN ID's etc. Iv'e looked around the community forum here for related threads, and have had little-no luck. If there is one could someone link me please.

Thanks for your time, hopefully you guys can help me to the right track. Thanks again. :)

considering the extra text fields, you can add them somewhere in the administration panel,
i currently don't have a phpbb3 forum running and i'm low on time, so for this moment i can help you only this far, goodluck! :)
