ooh, i don't know about that either.

Are you using firefox? Because firefox has this feature that when you press Ctrl + Shift + I that you can inspect the properties of html elements. You could give it a try ;)
Else you'd have to wait for Daniel (the designer of this template) to drop by!

All of your problems are phpbb related and not related specifically to this design.
May i also ask what your native language is? perhaps it will be easier for you to explain the exact problem and understand the solutions given.

Oh ok, i already suspected you were dutch.

What exactly do you mean with this? Can you upload only 1 per topic? and only a very small one?

If i understand right, then you're using the attachment function of Phpbb3. Normally you upload a foto to a fotodump (eg imageshack.us) en then you use the the direct link given (once you register an account). And you place that link between img tags :)

Which version of Phpbb3 do you run?

the latest one?
Because this theme has not been updated yet, you need to run phpbb 3.0.9 to make it work properly or adjust the coding yourselves using the code changes provided by the phpbb community :)

Greetings,

I too have been searching for the missing New Post legend icon. I've scoured through every template file through the ACP, checked the stylesheet.css, as well as the two .js files.

I did, however, find what I was looking for generated in the index.php, by selecting the "View Page Source" option on the right-click submenu of my forum, and I found this:

index.php wrote:
<table class="legend">
<tr>
<td width="20" align="center"></td>
<td><span class="gensmall">New posts</span></td>
<td>&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>

<td width="20" align="center"><img src="./styles/twilightbb/imageset/forum_read.png" width="50" height="50" alt="No unread posts" title="No unread posts" /></td>
<td><span class="gensmall">No new posts</span></td>
<td>&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>
<td width="20" align="center"><img src="./styles/twilightbb/imageset/forum_read_locked.png" width="50" height="50" alt="No unread posts [ Locked ]" title="No unread posts [ Locked ]" /></td>
<td><span class="gensmall">Forum locked</span></td>
</tr>
</table>

Looking at that, I realized that something is not generating the image location for FORUM_UNREAD_IMG (which is referenced in the index_body.html template file).
index_body.html wrote:
<table class="legend">
<tr>
<td width="20" align="center">{FORUM_UNREAD_IMG}</td>
<td><span class="gensmall">{L_UNREAD_POSTS}</span></td>
<td>&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>
<td width="20" align="center">{FORUM_IMG}</td>
<td><span class="gensmall">{L_NO_UNREAD_POSTS}</span></td>
<td>&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>
<td width="20" align="center">{FORUM_LOCKED_IMG}</td>
<td><span class="gensmall">{L_FORUM_LOCKED}</span></td>
</tr>
</table>
I was unable to find any reference defining "FORUM_UNREAD_IMG". Any thoughts?

Thank you, Daniel, for a great theme. Also, thank you Greg for posting the 3.0.10 theme file edits, they worked great.

Now that you mention it, yes, you've tracked down the problem ;)

if i'm right your 2nd code should work, if not, the name of the unread post image could be wrong so you'll have to alter it into the proper name (view another template to get the proper name)

Thank you for the fast response, Pure. :) If I am interpreting you correctly, I compared the "legend" section for a couple of different styles.

index_body.html Prosilver wrote:
<table class="legend">
<tr>
<td width="20" align="center">{FORUM_UNREAD_IMG}</td>
<td><span class="gensmall">{L_UNREAD_POSTS}</span></td>
<td>&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>

<td width="20" align="center">{FORUM_IMG}</td>
<td><span class="gensmall">{L_NO_UNREAD_POSTS}</span></td>
<td>&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>
<td width="20" align="center">{FORUM_LOCKED_IMG}</td>
<td><span class="gensmall">{L_FORUM_LOCKED}</span></td>
</tr>
</table>
The data in the index_body.html from Prosilver looks identical.

index_body.html X-treme wrote:
<table class="legend">
<tr>
<td width="20" align="center">{FORUM_UNREAD_IMG}</td>
<td><span class="gensmall">{L_UNREAD_POSTS}</span></td>
<td>&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>

<td width="20" align="center">{FORUM_IMG}</td>
<td><span class="gensmall">{L_NO_UNREAD_POSTS}</span></td>
<td>&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>
<td width="20" align="center">{FORUM_LOCKED_IMG}</td>
<td><span class="gensmall">{L_FORUM_LOCKED}</span></td>
</tr>
</table>
The data found in the index_body.html of the X-treme style looks the same as well.

I never renamed any of the files, just used the default installation. I tried loading Prosilver, but they don't show a posting legend on their mainlist. I also have looked into assigning the Imagesets in the Style tab of the ACP, but nothing worked there. I compared image names between Prosilver and twilightBB, and the "forum_unread" file is a PNG in twilightBB, vs. a GIF in Prosilver. I saved and uploaded a GIF version of the same image, no luck.

If only I could find where "FORUM_UNREAD_IMG" is physically assigned within the style, the I could see what is supposed to point to (or make it point to something if it doesn't). BTW, I did look for "FORUM_IMG", "FORUM_LOCKED_IMG" and "L_NO_UNREAD_POSTS" though all the files, and I didn't find reference to those either.

I'm beginning to think it may be a coding issue with Prosilver, but I really do not know. Honestly, I'm not a big code guy, so I've about hit my limits on investigation.

You could also just use

<img src="link to image" alt="unread posts">

that should do the trick aswell ;)
