Hi - this is an awesome theme. :D I've been looking for something like this but with a base colour of deep red. Is there any way this can be applied to this theme at all?

Thanks :)

phpBB.com has ColorizeIt which will let you change the design colour to red.

Just an update, not sure if you have fixed this or not.

I am use Ie. 9. Works fine, but I had noticed there where no images for Unread posts displaying.

If you have fixed this, then ignore, but if not, then here you go. I just wanted you to know cause I absolutly adore this style.

change any of them that say

NEW_IMG

to

UNREAD_IMG

EX:

You had

FORUM_NEW_IMG
So this would be changed to

FORUM_UNREAD_IMG
This way it displays the image for the Unread forum.

Same with the posts when your inside the Forum.

Change
FOLDER_NEW_IMG
To
FOLDER_UNREAD_IMG

Jsut a quick fix for ya if you haven't already, lol.

If you ever need anything let me know, probably by email be easier.

Hi Daniel,

very nice Style you've created. But I have some Trouble with it.

At first, sorry for my bad english (I'm german).

If I upload your style to my Forum (3.0.9), my ACP said: "Grafiksammlung findet „de“-Übersetzung nicht" - Ok, so I've created a folder for the images and call it "de". But then... the tables, the rows... are gone... -.-

Only if I change my Forum from German to British english, it shows me the images (Repost, New Theme, edit are the Things they gone lost). But... there are not all picture there if I change my language and I ask me why?

I missed the "Profile" "members" "FAQ" to in this style...

I'm lost - can somebody help me? (I'm new on php - so please explain for dummies ^^)

greetings

Pio

Hey there, i'm not dan, but i'll try to help you out :)

what i need to know is;

when you created the "de" folder; did you rename the "en" folder? or did you create a "new" folder and coppied the images to it?
did you also make sure any folders underneath it that could have "en" in the folder name are edited to "de" ?

also, another problem is; the theme hasn't been updated to 3.0.9 yet (if i remember right) daniel is working on updating the styles but is rather short on time. (i think everyone is these weeks before christmas).
can you wait untill after christmas? I think i have some more time to help you out by then :)
I might go update the phpbb styles myself (once i found the changelog for 3.0;9)

if you really need the style; try running PHPBB 3.0.8

Good luck!

Hi pure,

I've copied the "en" folder to the upper level, change the name into "de" and then copied back to the same path where the "en" folder is. (not in the "en" folder).

And yes, I can wait until Newyear :)

thanks for help :)

Hi, I'm using Dark Fantasy on a forum that a friend set up for me and I'm wondering how do I apply this auto resize mod to the style. I'm not that good with coding, although I'd like to learn, so I'm asking for advice here... Thx.

i'd learn the basics of html if i were you;
then, when applying the code changes I would search the template tags instead of full code lines;

e.g. {U_VIEW_TOPIC} ; all the tags between { and }
with the basics of html it should be possible to understand this.

note: the template tags tell phpbb where to put which function e.g. the post reply button; the avatar; the message of a post etc.

I hope this clears things up a bit for you :)

I started with the Lynda courses, but until I get the hang of it, could you be more specific? Thanks. :)

For the most part, those instructions simply specify for you open a particular file, find a certain line of code (use notepad++, and not notepad if using Windows) and replace it. Pretty straight forward, and no coding knowledge required. The only thing to keep in mind is that you need to apply the subSilver2 instructions to DarkFantasy, and not the proSilver-based ones.

So, unless I failed to understand the instructions, this is what am I supposed to do:

1. Upload the easy_resizer.html to the template folder
2. Edit viewtopic_body so it looks like this.
3. Purge the cache

Because if that's that, I did all that, multiple times and it still doesn't resize images. Whereas, when I switch themes to prosilver (to which I also applied the mod), it resizes them. So I must be doing something wrong, but I don't get what.

Hello,

I've been trying to get a phpBB mod called 'Advanced BBCode Box 3' http://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/mod/advanced_bbcode_box_3/ to work with the DarkFantasy style. I know the mod works fine using the subsilver2 style, and I used those instructions to modify the DarkFantasy files.

However, the added code has horribly broken the style on the posting page. The text box is a narrow vertical strip in IE9, and the bbcode buttons manage to extend way past the normal boundaries for the style. I've tried to figure out which bit of code is breaking things, but I'm afraid it's a bit beyond me :(

Any help would be appreciated. :D
