oh wow, that kyala bar maid is awesome
and i'd like to note that i really appreciate it that you tried to fix the problem yourself first
it seems like a lot of people immediately think it's impossible to alter their themes x)
so let's get started
I think the width varies of the column because it isn't defined anywhere
so you could try this:
open the style sheet (theme/stylesheet.css)
add the following property:
width: ... px;
(where ... px the desired with is)
i'm not sure if it will work, but that's the first thing that I can come up with
Thanks so much for responding and assisting!
I tried to update the td.profile section as you suggested, but unfortunately that didn't do it. I experimented a bit more, and compared the viewtopicbody template to try and figure out exactly what reference I needed to make the adjustment for, but it wasn't very clear or consistent. So what I ended up doing is using the postdetails td class that was used for the RANK section, and then applied that to the rank images and poster avatar sections as well, and then updated postdetails in the stylesheet to the width, and it worked out perfectly!
I'm glad to share any code for my adjustments if anyone is interested. The end result is that the poster information column when viewing a topic, is now consistently the same width regardless of avatar size, so margins don't bounce around when you read down the topic.
