Hi there.
very nice theme you made.

Just one question. For us it's a bit too cramped in the center.
Is there a way to make it wider ? Or even to stretch it atuomatically to the browsers width ?

I know I will probably need some editting on the banner and such, but our guild would like to see it stretch across the width of the screen.

Thanks a lot for helping.

A.

This has been addressed in an earlier thread. Hopefully this will help. http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=398294&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=15

I'm sorry, this link you posted is for the old version (phpbb2) of this style!

But I'd like to know how to enlarge this style in phpbb3? The width is too short in my opinion ...

Open up: phpBB3\styles\GuildWarsAlliance\theme\stylesheet.css

Find:

Code:
#wrapper {
   width: 758px;
   margin: 0 auto;
   background: #556661 url('./images/bg2.jpg') top no-repeat;
   background-position: 0 100px;
   border: #000000 1px solid;
   border-width: 0 1px 1px 1px;
}

Change the width value for #wrapper to the desired value. If you want the board to be 100% wide, just replace 758px with 100%. If you still want it to be a fixed value, but simply increased, then just modify it as you see fit. Hope that helps. :wink:

I love the skin, and was curious about hiring you to modify it to be a darker theme skinned with TES (The Elder Scrolls) in mind. Please contact me via email at dawnsbeauty@gmail.com, forum private message, or MSN at fake.netpassport@live.com. I am very serious about hiring you for your services, and would like to atleast begin conversations about such ASAP.

I'd like to make the forum wider, and it still look balanced. When I enter the CSS sheet to make it wider, indeed, the forum gets wider, but the bar at the top, as well as the bar at the bottom (Not sure what to call them...header and footer I suppose.) do not, and make the board appear offbalance. How do I make them longer as well? I've figured out how to make the header bar longer, but then the Login, Logout is off. Also, how do I change the banner? Or make it longer as well. I'd also like to put a padding space between the top and bottom of the forum, and the window itself. How do I do this?

Sorry If I'm overloading you with questions, but I adore the skin and want to adjust it to fit.

For adding padding at the top and bottom of the window, you'd just add a "margin: 20px 0 20px 0;" to Body in the CSS, then change 20px to a value of your choice. As for increasing the width of the design, I'm sorry, but I can't really help you with this. This template was designed as a fixed width layout, and so for you to increase the dimensions and preserve its look, you'd have to modify the graphics themselves.

Hello, I'm new here. I really like this template and would really appreciate it if someone would post step by step details on how to put this template on any kind of forum.

I use forum5.com and it's a little bit different from this, can someone tell me a link to get the exact same forums you guys use?

Thanks in advance.

Ahh... nevermind you have to pay for your domain. Lunarpages.com I believe.

Well, someone please let me know how to install this template to any kind of forum, or If I have to have a certain domain for it to work, Thanks. :D

Well, I pay for hosting so that I can have a lot more control over my account. This allows me to install the forum software as well as the template manually. However, if you're using forum5, you won't be able to install this template, as this is for phpBB3, and they only offer phpBB2 installation. If you wanted to use phpBB2, you'd have to use the old version of GuildWarsAlliance found at:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=5

As for lunarpages.com, yes, that is my host. If you're interested in paying a bit for hosting, they offer an excellent basic plan which will cover the needs of most users. However, if you're not interested in paying for hosting, then I would try looking around for a good free php mysql host, such as http://x10hosting.com/ :wink:
