Able Sister's Tailor Shop
The Able sisters run the local tailor shop. They're an odd team as Mabel is always cheery and full of energy where as her sister Sable is normally quiet while sewing various patterns with her sewing machine. By asking Mabel 'What's this?' she'll talk about the business they're running and give you some tips on designing your own patterns.
Designing, displaying and using your patterns
If you would like to design your own pattern, talk to Mable and select the 'Design a pattern' option. You'll have to pay for the materials but it's all worth it when you're able to create your own masterpieces. Unfortunately, you can only carry eight designs at a time so before you create a new one, you'll have to specify which pattern you wish to replace. Once you've selected which pattern to replace, the design window will come up. As soon as you've created your design by using the various design tools, press Start and select 'Yes'. You'll then be able to name your design. After you've come up with the perfect title for your creation, press Start. To copy apply your pattern to your clothes, go to your inventory by pressing Y, move the hand over the pencil icon and press A. Press the A button on the pattern you wish to use, select 'Use' from the list of options and choose whether you'd like to apply it to your clothes or umbrella. Congratulations, you're now able to wear your own designs. Now to display them, face an umbrella or shirt you would like to replace with your own pattern, press the A button, select 'Display Mine!', then 'sure!' and finally press A while the hand is over the design you would like to display and select 'Use'.
Taking a pattern that's on display
If you'd like to use a design that's being displayed at the shop, walk up to it, press A and select 'I want it!'. You'll then have to replace one of the patterns you're holding.
Storing your designs
Unfortunately, you can only carry eight patterns although you can store another 96 at the tailor shop. In order to store a design, talk to Mable and select the ''Save a pattern' option. You'll the be able to store your designs from your inventory and even organize them by using the different pages in the storage window.
