Sending Letters
The Post Office is open 24 hours a day every day of the week although the friendliness of your service varies between night and day. The Post Office is the place to go if you ever need to send a letter to anyone in your village. If you'd like to mail a letter, talk to the clerk and select the 'Mail a letter' option. You will then be able to choose which letter to send from the letters in your inventory. You may send up to 5 letters at a time. If you've given Pelly or Phyllis 5 letters and you wish to send more, exit the post office and then re-enter it. Every time you exit the Post Office after giving the clerk 5 letters, you'll notice Pete the mail pelican flying away to carry out his duties. Any mail you send will be received by the next day.
Paying off your loan
In order to pay off your debt to Tom Nook, you'll have to pay a visit to the post office. By talking to one of the clerks and selecting 'Deposit' from the list of options, you'll be able to pay of your loan. The amount you pay will automatically be deducted from the total amount of bells you owe. You can pay it all off at once or just a bit at a time. Once your loan has been paid, go talk to Tom Nook about an expansion.
Saving your letters
Have you ever wanted to keep a letter but found out that you didn't have enough space? Luckily, the Post Office has a service that will eliminate this little problem. By talking to the clerk and selecting the 'Save a letter' option, you'll be able to store 160 letters. The storage is even divided which will allow you to organize and classify your precious and valued mail.
Your Postal Savings account
Once you've paid of all your debts, the Postal Office will a open a postal savings account for you. The savings account is similar to a bank account although you receive rewards for reaching certain milestones. You receive a reward every time you save up a set number of bells in your bank account.
Rewards for saving:
-You'll receive a tissue once you've saved a total of 1 000 000 bells
-You'll receive a piggy bank once you've saved a total of 10 000 000 bells
-You'll receive a mailbox once you've saved a total of 100 000 000 bells
-You'll receive a post model once you've saved a total of 999 999 999 bells
