The Island
When you have a GameBoyAdvance connected to your GameCube through a GBA to GCN link cable and the power is on, go talk to Kapp'n at the village dock. He'll first allow you to name the island you're going to. (note: the name will automatically contain 'Island' at the end so naming the island 'Pirate' would result in naming it 'Pirate island') After listening to a bit of singing while at sea, you'll arrive at the small island.
A vacation home
There's a vacant house located at the north-west side of the island. The interior is for you and up to 3 other characters to decorate. Players will be able to combine their artistic talents to create the ultimate vacation spot. Feel free to use the aloha shirts that are inside the to make your holiday official. Remember, it's your home away from home.
Island friend
There will be one animal friend living on the island. Unfortunately, you cannot help or talk to the sheltered visitor but you can always offer him some company. He or she may show interested in certain items, so bring them to him or her to help strengthen your relationship with the lonesome critter. Your friend may also acquire various items from the island on the GBA. By returning to talk to your pal after using the GBA, he or she might give you the items he or she found.
Summer forever
The Island paradises' warm climate creates a summer atmosphere all year long. Even in the middle of winter, you'll be able to relive summer at the outcast island. The summer climate of the island will allow you to catch fish and insects that are normally reserved for summertime all year 'round. So escape to the island for the best in fishing and bug catching whenever you want.
The Island flag
There's a white flag located in the south east area of the island. Customize the flag with your own design and watch it blow in the wind, taking pride in your animal paradise.
Animal Island
By leaving the island on the GCN while the GBA is on and connected, you'll be able to access the GBA version of the island called Animal Island. By leaving tools such as the shovel, net and fishing rod at the GCN island, you'll be able to use the items as your friendly islander in order to uncover various rare items that can only be obtained by visiting Animal Island. In order for the islander to use a tool, pick it up with the hand, drop it near him or her, point to where you wish for the friendly critter to go and press A. By moving him or her toward the shore while the fishing rod is equiped, he or she will begin to fish and move the animal to a floating object while he or she has the net equiped to snatch the treasure. Give your friend some fruit to make the islander drop an item and move him or her to safety whenever he or she yells for help. Return to the island on the GCN to retrieve the items the islander dropped while using the GBA.
