Buying a House
After the train ride, you will be greeted by the local general store owner; Tom Nook. You will then begin the process of selecting the house you wish to call home from a selection of 4 cozy houses. A person may only pick one out of the four houses to live in but up to three players may occupy the remaining buildings.
Each house is conveniently located around the town bulletin board, allowing players to easily communicate without wandering too far from the comforts of home. Each house has a mailbox and a personal Gyroid assistant who may help you in many ways. The four houses each come with their own interior design, a few welcoming gifts and one out of four different coloured roofs. Because you may paint the rooftop later on in the game and redecorate the plain and gloomy interior with your own personal flair, the decision of which house to buy will most likely be based solely on it's location.
